Here is a list of some of the equipment on my 80 Cobra. It basically started life as a 4cyl turbo with a 4 speed. When I got the car about 4 years ago it had been under a tree for a while. So I pulled it home to start work on it. I found an 85 roller motor out of a wrecked GT. I had some minor head porting done. Added underdrive pulleys, Edelbrock intake and a Holley 750. All the smog equipment was trashed. I also put on some headers with dual Dynomax turbo mufflers. Next came the 5 speed that is stock except for the Pro 5.0 shifter. Last fall I finally put in my 8.8 rear axle. Wow!!! What a difference! It has 3.73 gears with Southside HD upper bushings. There are also some Southside Bars under there too. The chassis has subframe connectors that are welded in and a driveshaft loop. I also moved the battery to the back and took off the front sway bar. Now I am adding the fresh paint with a 3" cowl fiberglass hood and a 93 Cobra spoiler. I can't wait to get it back!!! I have taken a lot of sound deadening out of the car. It weighs in at 2850 lbs. Last summer with the old single spinner and 3.45 gears I ran a best of 14.16@98 mph. This year I plan to add some 1.72 roller rockers and a 650 Holley. With all of that I am hoping for some 13.50s. Then I might get me a bottle!!

Just would like to update you on my car. I have put in a Holley 700 DP, MSD 6AL box and running slicks. This combo netted a best time of 13.78@98mph. I am playing with the jetting and some other different things to get a little faster. I should have some new pics soon also. Keep up the good work.

Another update this year for my Cobra. I got those 1.7 roller rockers on and played a little with the timing and got a best time of 13.40 @ 100mph. On that pass I also had my best 60 foot time of 1.74. I just got my MAC long tube headers in but haven't got them on yet. Will let you know when I do. Thank you very much for featuring my car!!

Well I have done a lot since I update you last. Last year with the MAC headers I went 13.23 @100 with a 1.67 short time. Over the winter more stuff went in. I added a Motorsport B303 camshaft. I did some home porting on the heads and upgraded valve springs. I also put on an Edelbrock Performer RPM. The combo has gone 12.93 @ 104 so far. I know there is more in it! I will be upgrading slicks this year and will send you another picture with the Weld wheels. Thanks again.
